Wendy K. "Kathy" Smith

Wendy K. “Kathy” Smith, age 75, of Mercer Rd., Hempfield Twp., Greenville, passed away unexpectedly in her residence on Monday, February 9, 2026.

She was born in Greenville on September 9, 1950 to Frances Eells. She attended Commodore Perry High School. Kathy had been employed as a Nurse’s Aide for over 10 years at St. Paul’s Senior Living Community and had also served as the bookkeeper at her husband’s business, Leo’s Auto Service.

Kathy enjoyed crafts, her dogs, classic cars, attending car shows, and riding her trike motorcycle as part of the Goldwing Club.

On August 21, 1968, she married Leo G. Smith, Jr.; he passed away January 24, 2023.

Kathy is survived by a daughter, Tina Fout and her fiancé Shaun Blike of Cochranton; two sons, Shawn Smith and his fiancé Leslie Springer of Greenville and Lester Smith of Greenville; a brother, Virgil (Debbie) Eells of Conneaut Lake; three grandchildren: Samantha (Shawn) Patterson, LeAnne Sayles and her husband Joshua Himes, and Sierra Sayles and her husband Andrew Yaksich; and five great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn, Karsyn, McKenzie, Brixton, and Emma.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Frances and Hershal Watt; two sisters; and three brothers.

Services:

Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, 2/12/26, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville. Burial will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to assist with funeral costs may be made to the family.
