Ronald L. Stainbrook, Sr., age 88, of Greenville, PA, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 7, 2025, in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.
He was born in Greenville, PA on December 31, 1936, to Robert C. and Florence G. (Osborne)Stainbrook. He married Sandra E. Mackey on July 17, 1958. A graduate of Penn High School, Greenville, Class of 1954, Ron attended Thiel College and worked for Corner Pharmacy. Ron’s lifelong career was in the funeral business. He worked for the Baird Funeral Home of Greenville for 47 years, the James Baird Funeral Home of Jamestown for 27 years, and most recently for the Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home in Greenville. Ron was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served as communion steward for many years, was a member of the United Methodist Men, served on various committees, and sang in the church choir for over 60 years. Ron also sang in the Greenville Messiah for many years. Ron enjoyed attending pipe organ recitals, car shows, and had a special interest in limousines. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed attending their concerts, recitals, and sporting events.
Ron is survived by his wife, Sandra E. Stainbrook. Other survivors include a son, Ronald (Larry) Stainbrook, Jr. (Lori), of Greenville; a son, Richard Stainbrook (Gaye), of Greenville; and a daughter, Shelly Silvis (Rodney) of Mechanicsburg, PA. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Kelly (Mike) Walker, Kate (Brendan) Rhoad, Mackenzie (Egor) Zhelezovskiy, Sydney (Zach) Gentile, and Sergei Stainbrook, and great grandchildren, Avery, Cameron, and Kyla Walker, Lochlan Rhoad, and Sophie and Greta Zhelezovskiy. Ron is also survived by a brother, R. Gerald Stainbrook (Judie), and a brother-in-law, Anthony Catalano.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, 8/15/25, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville with Ken Carrier of First United Methodist Church, Greenville, officiating. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, 8/14/25, in the Funeral Home from 4:00 – 6:00 PM and again on Friday, 8/15/25, from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Good Shepherd Center 10 N. Water St. Greenville, PA 16125.
