Ronald R. McCartney, age 76, of Kilbourne Rd., W. Salem Twp., Greenville passed away peacefully at home with his wife at his side on Sunday afternoon, December 28, 2025.
He was born in Greenville on November 16, 1949 to Ralph and Bertha (Hoffacker) McCartney. Ron graduated from Greenville High School and served in the U. S. Army from 1969 - 1971. He retired from Salem Tube following six years of employment and previously had been employed at R. D. Werner Co. for 30 years. In his retirement years, Ron worked part-time as a driver for ADESA Auto Auction.
He was a member and past officer of Greenville Moose Family Center #276 and a member of Greenville VFW Post #3374 and the Italian Home Club. Ron also was a past member of F. O. E. # 805, Greenville. He especially enjoyed visiting his camp that he built in Marienville.
On June 23, 2012, Ron married the former Wendy Means; she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Todd (Chrissy) McCartney and Christopher (Amy) McCartney, both of Tacoma, WA; a brother, Phil McCartney of Greenville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Shari VanSickle, of Greenville.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bruce McCartney.

Per Ron’s wishes, Cremation was chosen, and no services will be held. Memorial Contributions to assist with funeral expenses may be made to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville, PA 16125.
