Rodney L. “Rod” Splitstone, age 57, of Greene Twp., Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in his residence.

He was born in Greenville on April 15, 1969 to Ronald E. and Velma C. (McKown) Splitstone. Rod was a 1987 graduate of Jamestown High School and had served in the U. S. Air Force from 1987 – 1990. He had been employed as a laborer at Jamestown Coating Technologies for 10 years and previously had been employed for 15 years at the former Penn TecQ.

Rod was an avid hunter and NASCAR fan.

On January 4, 2007, he married the former Karen L. (Snyder) Paca; she passed away September 24, 2025.

Rod is survived by a stepdaughter, Amber Fry; two sisters, Rhonda Splitstone and Sheryl Splitstone; a brother, Bryan Splitstone, all of Jamestown; and five grandchildren: Tre, Trent, Ashton, Lincoln, and Gemma.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a stepdaughter, Ashley Riley.

Services:

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Rod and Karen will be held in the Jamestown Firemen’s Club, 501 Denver St. Jamestown, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM on Saturday, 5/9/26. Memorial contributions to assist the family with funeral expenses may be sent in care of the Funeral Home.
