Robert Grinnell

D. Robert Grinnell, age 74, of Greenville, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2023 due to complications following a two-year battle with lung cancer.

Beloved son of Harry and Alice Grinnell (both deceased), Bob is survived by his wife, Claudia and their three children — Dalynn Knigge (of New Jersey) and Damion and Adrienne Grinnell (both of Greenville) — as well as four grandsons, two step-grandsons, one great-grandson, and eight brothers and sisters (predeceased by an additional four). Bobby grew up on a dairy farm and wrestled for Commodore Perry HS. He was an Army Sergeant and Vietnam veteran, and spent two decades as a dedicated steelworker. He also installed drywall for many years alongside relatives in a family business. No public services will be held. Any memorial contributions should be made in his name to the Cancer Research Institute , which is committed to the development of immunotherapies for all types of cancer.
