Richard W. Stokely

Richard W. Stokely, age 72, of Greenville passed away Monday evening, September 1, 2025, in UPMC Jameson.

He was born in Elizabeth City, NC on October 22, 1952 to Jerry and Christine (Tarkington) Stokely. Richard graduated from King William County High School and completed his Associate Degree in Business at Chester County Community College. He retired as a District Manager from Estes, West Middlesex following nearly 20 years of employment.

Richard was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed hunting and watching science-fiction television shows.

On November 30, 1987, he married the former Lisa R. Rife; she survives.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by a daughter, Jill Ray of Birmingham, AL; a son, Richard W. Stokely, Jr. of Austin, TX; a stepdaughter, Millicent (Joshua) Nagel of Greenville; a stepson Miles Lindamood of Greenville; a sister, Phyllis St. Pierre, and brother, Buddy Stokely, both of King William, VA; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Geraldine Stokely.

Services:

Per Richard’s wishes, Cremation was chosen, and no services will be held.
