Dr. Richard L. “Rick” Robbins, age 78, of Tanglewood Dr., Hempfield Twp., Greenville, passed away Sunday morning, May 5, 2024 in his home surrounded by family. He was born in Franklin, PA on October 29, 1945 to Richard W. and Charlotte L. (Lesh) Robbins.

Rick was a 1963 graduate of Franklin High school, attended Clarion University and was a 1968 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport IA. He was a member of the U. S. Army Reserves 298th Transportation Company in Franklin until his discharge in 1975. Rick was the owner/operator of Robbins Chiropractic in Greenville for 43 years, retiring in 2012. He was a member of Pi Kappa Chi Fraternity-Palmer School of Chiropractic and the American Chiropractic Assoc. As an avid hunter, he was a member of the PA Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and had been a longtime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, serving as the PA State Chair.

In addition, Rick was a Lifetime Member of B.P.O.E. #145 and a Past Member of the Greenville Kiwanis Club. He had a strong passion for his muscle and street rod cars, showing them in many shows. He served on the Heritage Days Car Show Committee for many years and was also a member of the Goodguys Rod and Custom Assoc. Rick also had owned and competed in Off-Road Jeep races. His other interests included, snowmobiling for over 30 years, camping, boating, racing RC Cars at Big Dog Race Track in Stoneboro and most of all, teaching his grandson to hunt and watching his granddaughter twirl baton.

On April 8, 1967 he married the former Ellen L. Holmes, she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Laura A. Curl and her husband Chad of Cedar Rapids, IA and Erin R. Conley and her husband TJ of Saxonburg and two grandchildren, Tyler J. Conley and Sarah J. Conley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rita Lore.
