Richard C. Cadman, age 78, of Jamestown passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, April 8, 2026, in the ER of UPMC Horizon Greenville.
He was born in Greenville on January 4, 1948 to Alma B. and Nora (Lanning) Cadman. Dick graduated from Jamestown High School in 1967 and served in the United States Army as a gunner from 1968 – 1970 during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2007 following 33 years of employment as a carpenter at Pymatuning State Park.
Dick spent all of his life on Pymatuning Lake. He enjoyed muskie fishing, boating, and kayaking and loved riding and collecting Harley Davidson Trikes. He had attended the Sturgis Bike Rally many times over the years and had visited most of the United States including Alaska and Hawaii. In 2017, Dick and his wife traveled over 3,000 miles across the United States on the trike. During the 1980s he enjoyed attending Rendezvous Mountain Man Festivals with his family. Dick also enjoyed attending the Pymatuning State Park retiree’s monthly luncheons and spending the past 15 winters in Lake Placid, FL with his wife. On April 2, 1974, Dick married the former Brenda L. Cox; she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kelly Lee (Matthew) Stewart of Jamestown; a son, Andrew B. (Angie) Cadman of Jamestown; a sister, Carol Richards of Jamestown; five grandchildren: Jordan, Jonathan, Skyler, Rebecca, and Julianna; and eight great-grandchildren: Parker, Lainey, Braxton, Daxen, River, Koehn, Trystan, and Talon.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert “Bobby” Cadman; three sisters: Mary Klingensmith, Norma Dillen, and Lorraine Murphy; and a brother, Bill Cadman.
Services:
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, 4/13/26, in Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St. Jamestown with Rev. Dan Miller, Pastor of Jamestown United Methodist Church, officiating. Family and friends will be received in the Funeral Home on Sunday, 4/12/26, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Burial with Committal Prayers and Military Honors rendered by Jamestown Honor Guard will be in Park Lawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute c/o Meadville Medical Center Foundation at 736 Liberty Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
