Nadine A. Atkinson

Nadine A. Atkinson, age 69, of Saxonburg, PA, and formerly of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at UPMC Shadyside.

She was born in Greenville on August 15, 1955 to Nicholas J. and Nellie M. (Peden) Kusich. Nadine was a 1973 graduate of Greenville High School and was a Homemaker.

She was a past member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenville. Nadine loved crafting, was an avid NASCAR fan, and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

On June 26, 1976, she married Larry S. Atkinson. He passed away August 3, 2015. 

Nadine is survived by her daughter, Erika (Chris) Cascio of Saxonburg; a son, Michael (Jennifer) Atkinson, of Freeport; her father, Nicholas J. Kusich, of Greenville; a brother, George (Denise) Kusich, of Greenville; two sisters-in law, Barb Shrock and Joan Kusich, both of Greenville; five grandchildren: Hunter Cascio, Brooke Cascio, Lillian Cascio, Josie Cascio, and Mylie Atkinson; and one great-grandchild, Steven Cascio.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her mother, a brother, Nicholas Kusich, Jr., and a grandson, Steven Michael Cascio.

Services:

Cremation was chosen, and a private memorial service is being planned.
