Michael D. DiFrischia

Michael D. DiFrischia, age 66, of N. High St., Greenville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 20, 2026, in his residence.

He was born in Ellwood City on July 9, 1959 to Richard D. and June R. (Walker) DiFrischia. Mike was a 1977 graduate of Jamestown High School. He was self-employed as a “Junk Man,” owning and operating Mike’s Hauling for many years and previously had been employed for over 10 years as a CDL driver for Waste Management and as a welder at the former Trinity Industries for over 10 years.

Mike was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed working, listening to music, traveling, collecting scrap, and most of all, spending time with his family and grandchildren.

On July 16, 1977, Mike married the former Holly Tate; she survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Michelle DiFrischia of Homosassa, FL; two sons, Michael R. (Amber) DiFrischia of Jamestown and Anthony L. (Stephanie) DiFrischia of Greenville; two brothers, Richard DiFrischia of Pulaski, PA and Thomas DiFrischia of Wampum, PA; nine grandchildren: Ronald DiFrischia, Xavier Tate, Maya DiFrischia, Madison Tate, Brayden DiFrischia, Madilynn DiFrischia, Milaina DiFrischia, Carlye Gehr, and Shevelle Gehr; and four great-grandchildren.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sandy McElheny; and a brother, Ronald DiFrischia.

Services:

Per Mike’s wishes, Cremation was chosen, and no services will be held.
