Mary C. Morningstar

Mary C. Morningstar, age 71, of Greenville, passed away Thursday morning, March 5, 2026, in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.

She was born in Greenville on November 17, 1954 to Joseph U. and Elsie J. (McIntyre) McCann. Mary graduated from Reynolds High School in 1972 and later completed her certification as a Registered Nurse. She retired from White-Cliff Nursing Home as a Registered Nurse and Wound Care Supervisor and previously had been employed as a traveling nurse and an LPN at UPMC Horizon.

Mary was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by a daughter, Jessica Morningstar and her husband, Thomas “Rock” Caulder, of Scranton, SC; a son, Dane (Amy) Morningstar of Transfer; a sister, Michele Kleczy of Greenville; a brother, Joseph (Linda) McCann of Greenville; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her companion, John Sokol; and a brother, Mark McCann.

Services:

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, 3/10/26, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville, with Deacon Martin Aubel of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Family and friends will be received in the Funeral Home on 3/10/26 from 10:30 AM until time of Service. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Strayhaven Animal Shelter, 94 Donation Rd. Greenville, PA 16125.
