Loretta D. Smith

Loretta D. Smith, age 79, formerly of Greenville, passed away Wednesday morning, November 12, 2025.

She was born in Greenville on October 6, 1946 to James and Margaret (Dell) Reagle. Loretta graduated from Lakeview High School in 1964 and attended Penn State University Shenango. She was a lifelong homemaker.

Loretta was a member of Greenville Area Preservation Association (GAPA). She enjoyed crocheting, playing scrabble with her son, watching birds, painting, and spending time with her family and her cat.

On October 3, 1973, she married Jack Fred Smith, Jr.; he passed away July 22, 2004.

Loretta is survived by her daughter, April (Chuck) Johnston of Jamestown; two sons, Raymond (Chris) Hanna of Fredonia and Fred (Therese) Smith of West Middlesex; two sisters, Diane Martin and Carol Thomas; two brothers, Ed Reagle and Ray Reagle; and two grandchildren, Jacquelyn Smith and Troy Dunkle.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her son, David Smith.

Services:

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, 11/14/25, in Hillside Presbyterian Church 2 N. High St. Greenville with Rev. Sean Hall, Pastor of the Church, officiating. Family and friends will be received in the Church on 11/14/25 from 4:00 PM until time of service. Inurnment will be in Hadley Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Strayhaven Animal Shelter 94 Donation Rd. Greenville, PA 16125.
