Lois J. Walker, age 97, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday morning, March 24, 2026, in Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at Greenville.
She was born in Kittanning on July 6, 1928 to George and Margaret (Emminger) McGann. Lois attended St. Mary’s School in Kittanning. She retired from The Welcome Inn in Westford where she had been employed as a waitress/cook for over 10 years and had previously been employed for 25 years at the former Tony’s Pizza in Greenville.
Lois was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church. She was a past member of F. O. E. #805, and during the 1960s through the mid ‘70s, Lois was active with the Greenville VFW Cadets. In addition, she also was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Lois was married to Charles E. Walker; he passed away December 1, 1993.
She is survived by four daughters: Katheryn Walker and her fiancé Joe Mariotti, Patricia Wilkin and her companion Missy, Susan Walker, and Shirley (Paul) Myers; three sons: John (Mary) Walker, Thomas (Alice) Walker, and Stephen “Pinky” Walker; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Arlene Wheeler.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Joan Myers; two sons, Paul Walker and Timothy Walker; three sisters; four brothers; a granddaughter; and a grandson.
Services:
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM Tuesday, 3/31/26, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville, with Deacon Frank Luciani of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church officiating. Family and friends will be received in the Funeral Home on 3/31/26 from 3:00 PM until time of Service. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr. Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
