Leora M. "Lee" Unger

Leora M. “Lee” Unger, age 87, of Jamestown and formerly a resident of Atlantic for over 50 years, passed away Friday morning, June 19, 2026, in Quality Life Services, Mercer.

She was born in Jamestown on April 24, 1939 to Edward and Rhoda (Keppel) Mullen. Lee graduated from Jamestown High School in 1957. She retired as Team Leader of the Coating Department at DIC Tool, Meadville following over 30 years of employment.

Lee was a member of the Jehovah Witness Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening. Along with her late husband, she had worked on the construction and remodeling of multiple family residences.

Her husband of over 50 years, David Gale Unger preceded her in death in 2010.

Lee is survived by a daughter, Tina (Dean) McHenry of Jamestown; a son, David Unger of Saegertown; a sister, Linda McKnight of Jamestown; three grandchildren: Kayla McHenry, Devin McHenry, and Michelle Zakostelecky; and one great-grandchild, Walker Zakostelecky.

In addition to her husband, Lee was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Keith Unger; and her son, Michael Unger.

Services:

Per Lee’s wishes, Cremation was chosen, and no services will be held.
