Lana R. Mozes

Lana R. Mozes, age 85, of Salem Twp., Greenville passed away Wednesday morning, July 23, 2025, in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.

She was born in New Kensington, PA on January 20, 1940 to Harold R. and Geraldine Emma May (Starr) Huey. Lana was a 1957 graduate of Freeport High School and received her B. A. from Thiel College in 1961 and her M. B. A. in accounting from Gannon University in 1997. She had been the owner/operator of Lana Mozes Tax Service for over 30 years, owned and operated Lana Mozes Notary Service for over 17 years, and worked as a medical technologist at Humility of Mary St. Joseph’s Emergency Center in Andover, OH.

Lana was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenville where she previously served on the Church Council. She held memberships with the National Association of Tax Preparers (NATP), the PA Association of Notaries (PAN), and the PA Farm Bureau.

On August 31, 1961, she married Laszlo Mozes; he passed away May 28, 2005.

Lana is survived by a daughter, Marta (John) Smay of Muncy, PA; four sons: Laszlo (Andi) Mozes of Phoenix, AZ, Raymond (Lisa) Mozes of Greenville, Benjamin (Kristy) Mozes of Greenville, and Peter (Jennifer) Mozes of Etters, PA; a sister, Darlene Lewis of Gladstone, MO; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Services:

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, 7/26/25, in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenville with Rev. Brenda Martin, Pastor of the Church, officiating. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 6:00 PM on Friday, 7/25/25, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville and from 9:45 – 10:45 AM on 7/26/25 in the Roth Library of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be in the Columbarium of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Memorial Contributions may be made to the PA Farm Bureau 214 Senate Ave. Camp Hill, PA 17011.
