Kim Dawson

With profound sadness, Kim Dawson’s children announce her passing. Kim took her final breath with the sunrise on August 6, 2025. Hailing from Hot Springs, Arkansas, Kim arrived in Ohio via her travels in California, where she had been accepted into the LA School of Design. She ultimately shared her kind hands and compassion with her patients as a Long Term Care Nurse in Grove City and Sharon.

Our mom had a real passion for southern style recipes and baking. Not a gathering goes by that we aren’t asked for her homemade macaroni and cheese recipe. Any free time Kim had was spent reading Stephen King or John Grisham, although her kids fondly remember many Danielle Steele books lying beside her tanning chair and ever-present bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Tanning Oil.

Kim is survived by her children, grandchildren, sister, and nieces.

Services:

In accordance with Kim’s wishes, her family will be holding a private ceremony. Burial is in Shenango Valley Cemetery.
