Kathleen M. DiPetta, age 77, formerly of Meadville and Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday morning, May 14, 2025.
She was born in McKeesport, PA on August 30, 1947 to Robert and Christine (Forsyth) Haney. Kathleen was a graduate of McKeesport High School, and prior to becoming disabled, she had been employed by various taxicab and limousine services in the Pittsburgh area.
She was a devout Catholic who greatly loved helping and spending time with her family and friends. Kathleen also enjoyed diamond art, adult coloring and painting, crocheting, sewing, and cross-stitching.
She was married to her husband, Michael P. “Nick” DiPetta, for over 30 years; he preceded her in death.
Kathleen is survived by four sisters: Roberta Shaw of Fredonia, Christine (Kenny) O’Toole of Greensburg, Loretta (James) Frank, and Patricia Shaw, all of Jeanette, PA; two special nieces, Melissa (Scott) Reffner, of Fredonia and Sarah Shaw of Jamestown; a special nephew, Robert Shaw, of Jamestown; and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Gerald “Tom” Shaw.
Services:
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles, PA.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
