Kara D. Michaleski, age 42, of Groover Rd., Sugar Grove Twp., Greenville passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday evening, December 15, 2025, in the ER of UPMC Horizon, Greenville.

She was born in Greenville on February 1, 1983 to Larry and Terry (Long) Stevenson. Kara was a 2001 graduate of Jamestown High School and received her associate’s degree in applied science from Cazenovia College in 2004. She was currently employed as the tax collector and secretary of Sugar Grove Twp.

Kara was an active member of Kinsman Chapel of the C & MA Church, where she had served as a deaconess. She also served on the Greenville Elementary School PTO, and her interests included gardening, homesteading, and photography.

On December 31, 2005, Kara married Joe S. “Sonny” Michaleski; he survives.

Also surviving are three children: Riley Jane Michaleski, Lucas Richard Michaleski, and Lilly Anne Michaleski, all at home; two sisters, Heidi (Stephan) Cico and Tricia (Robert) Kunis; a brother, Nathan (Kaitlyn) Stevenson; three nieces: Abby (Kyle) Boyd, Reese Kunis, and Briella Smith; five nephews: Xander Minshull, Layton Kunis, Everett Smith, Keaton Smith, and Hunter Wilt; a sister-in-law, Laura (Jason) Smith; and many extended family members and friends.

Kara was preceded in death by her parents.

Services:

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, 12/20/25, in Kinsman Chapel of the C & MA Church, 6590 State Rt. 87 Kinsman, OH 44428 with Rev. Howard Darr officiating. Inurnment will be private in Stevenson Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Kinsman Chapel of the C & MA Church or the Greenville Elementary School PTO, 9 Donation Rd. Greenville, PA 16125.
