Juanita J. Curtin, age 96, of W. Salem Twp., Greenville passed away Wednesday morning, May 14, 2025, in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.
She was born in Greenville on July 16, 1928 to Harold and Freda Speir. Jaunita was a graduate of Penn High School and had been a lifelong homemaker.
She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville. Juanita enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and baking. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
On September 22, 1947, Jaunita married George P. Curtin; he passed away October 16, 2009.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. (Les) Cotton of Greenville; a daughter-in-law, Dolly Curtin, of Greenville; two grandchildren, Philip H. (Kris) Curtin and Lee M. (Jenna) Curtin; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter Curtin and Huck Curtin.
In addition to her husband, Jaunita was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Philip M. Curtin; a sister, Virginia Hoover; and three brothers: Glenn Speir, Maynard Speir, and Clifford Speir.
Services:
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, 5/21/25, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, with Chaplain Pat Spears, Director of Spiritual Services at St. Paul’s Senior Living Community, officiating. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Wednesday, 5/21/25, from 1:30 PM until time of service. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Greenville. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Senior Living Community, 339 E. Jamestown Rd. Greenville, PA 16125.
