John T. Cologne, III.

John T. Cologne, III., age 72, of New Castle, passed away Saturday morning, May 2, 2026, in Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at Greenville.

He was born in Bethlehem, PA on September 17, 1953 to John T. Cologne, Jr. and Dolores M. (Christ) Cologne. John graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1973 and briefly served in the U. S. Navy. He later completed his associate’s degree at Computer Systems Institute. In his younger years, John had been employed as a machinist for several manufacturers.

John was a born-again believer in Christ. He loved building computers and was a gifted musician and artist. John will be remembered for his resilience and his great sense of humor that remained with him until the end.

He is survived by two sisters, Susan D. Cologne and her husband James Poindexter of Richmond, VA and Kathryn “Kate” E. Cologne – Unks and her husband Wayne Unks of Latrobe, PA, and a grandson, Jack Stockey.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Ashley Ann Cologne.

Services:

Per John’s wishes, Cremation was chosen, and Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Those wishing to honor John’s memory are encouraged to plant a tree in his honor.
