Jennie F. Flack, age 96, formerly of S. High St. Greenville, passed away Sunday morning, November 2, 2025, in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.
She was born in Greenville on November 16, 1928 to Emanuele and Serafina Giangiordano. Jennie was a 1946 graduate of St. Michael’s High School. She retired from Greenville Area School District as a Special Education Aide at Hempfield Elementary and previously had worked at West Side Elementary and G. C. Murphy in downtown Greenville.
Jennie was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville where she volunteered in the Rectory. She also was a member of the Knights of Columbus “Lady K’s.” Jennie was an avid bowler and had been a member of the “1st Nighters” team for more than 50 years as well as the St. Michael’s team and several other bowling teams. Jennie bowled her final game at age 93 and scored 176. Additionally, she was an avid golfer and had played in several leagues at Pine Hill Golf Course over the years. Jennie enjoyed spending time and having fun with her best girlfriends; attending monthly card club and lunches; cooking and going out to eat; and most importantly, raising and taking care of her family.
On May 5, 1951, she married Michael W. Flack, Sr.; he passed away December 2, 2016.
Jennie is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Jeff) Bonn and Marcia (Mark) McGonagle, all of Richmond, VA; two sons, Michael W. (Elizabeth) Flack, Jr. of Harrisburg, PA and Mark (Patrice) Flack of Ellicott City, MD; a sister, Anna DiDonato of Roccascalegna, Italy; eight grandchildren: Meredith, Michael, Kelly, Jeffrey, Nathan, Morgan, Mia, and Maggie; and five great-grandchildren: Dorothy, Vincent, Winnie, Evelyn, and Olivia.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Angeline Cianci.
Services:
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, 11/15/25, in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church 85 N. High St. Greenville with Fr. Thomas N. Trocchio, Pastor of the Church, as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Friday, 11/14/25, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville. Inurnment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High St. Greenville, PA 16125.
