Dr. Josh Reichard, brother of deceased, officiating
Jared Lee Reichard, age 37, formerly of Hadley, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023. He was born in Greenville on May 10, 1985, a son of David L and Marcie (Amato) Reichard.
Jared was a 2003 graduate of Commodore Perry High School, where was active in many clubs and activities. While at Commodore Perry, he was the freshman class president, served on student council for five years as well as the yearbook staff and FBLA. He was also active with the academic decathlon and drama club, where his most notable and beloved performance was the Tin Man. He participated in wrestling, where he was coached by his father. He had also run cross country and in his younger years, he participated in CP Little League, GALSA soccer, Boy Scouts and was actively involved in youth group Clarks Mills United Methodist Church, where attended and was baptized.
Jared enjoyed the annual father/son fishing trips in Canada. He was a gifted artist who could draw caricatures of people with great talent. Jared attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for three years and then transferred to Youngstown State University, where he graduated in 2011 with a degree in communications. He made lifelong friends a both places. Jared held many different jobs over the years and had most recently was the Assistant Manager at Dollar General in Pittsburgh. In addition, he also did part time work as Videographer of weddings for friends and family. He had many friends everywhere he went and anyone who met him immediately liked him. Jared had a personality that could light up a room and he was a kind, thoughtful, good natured person, who also had a heart of gold. He had many personal struggles in his life, but he always had steadfastly rooted in his Christian faith. Jared’s life was his favorite song “Broken Hallelujah”, but his family has the comfort knowing that he is at peace and with his Lord. The Reichard house was always filled with neighbor kids, CP students and some community friends who all enjoyed and participated in countless homemade videos that Jared liked to record and make movies like “It”, “Scream” and anything of zombies.
Jared is survived by his parents, David Reichard (Angela) of Toronto Canada and Marcie Tulip (Daniel) of Hermitage, five brothers, Josh Reichard (Sara) of Youngstown, OH, David Reichard (Dami) of Pittsburgh, Dillon Tulip of Greenville, Justin and Jason Tulip of Conyers, GA, two sister, Nicole Block of Edmonton, Canada and Erika Hayashi of Copenhagen, Denmark, his grandparents, Frank Amato (Pat) and Anna Ferguson, all of Greenville. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, numerous cousins that he loved dearly and his beloved nieces Maria and Olivia Reichard.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Jean Reichard and Jay Ferguson and his cousin; Karen Moyer.
