Janet L. Kirk

Janet L. Kirk, age 92, of Greenville passed away Saturday morning, January 17, 2026, in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.

She was born in Andover, OH on July 10, 1933, to Jesse F. and Lois (Gore) Dutton. Janet graduated from Andover High School and completed her associate’s degree at Kent State University. She retired as a Field Accountant at Beverly Enterprises Nursing Homes in 2002 following over 20 years of employment.

Janet had been a longtime member of several Presbyterian Churches and volunteered with the youth drug rehabilitation program at Plum Creek Presbyterian Church. She was known for helping and serving others and served as a deacon at Hillside Presbyterian Church in Greenville, PA. Janet volunteered at St. Paul’s for more than 12 years and served as a coordinator of the Volunteers. Janet enjoyed playing cards, baking, and most of all, spending time with her family.

In December, 1952, Janet married Ralph E. Kirk, Jr; he passed away November 28, 2004.

She is survived by a daughter, Lois (William) Lucci of Redondo Beach, CA; a son, Rev. Dr. James W. (Kathy) Kirk of Waynesburg, PA; a sister-in-law, Jean Dutton of Jefferson, OH; two grandchildren, Katherine (Chris) Hill of Morgantown, WV and Sarah (Kenny) Cline of Imperial, PA; and two great grandchildren, Guy Hill and Ruth Hill.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her stepfather, Roy Taylor; an infant son, Ralph E. “Eddie” Kirk, III.; her brother, Jim Dutton; her stepsister, Ilene Matteson; and her stepbrother, Howard Taylor.

Services:

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, 4/10/26, in the Historic Chapel at St. Paul’s Senior Living Community, 339 E. Jamestown Rd. Greenville, PA 16125, with Chaplain Pat Spears and Rev. Dr. Sean Hall officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville.
