Dorothea M. "Dottie" Rively

Dorothea M. "Dottie" Riveley, age 81, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of October 10, 2025, in Quality Life Services of Mercer.

Born on September 8, 1944, in West Orange, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Joseph and Dorothea Callaghan. A 1962 graduate of West Orange High School, Dottie went on to work for many years as a phlebotomist at MMC, where her gentle nature and steady hands were a comfort to many.

On June 6, 1987, she married the love of her life, Jim Riveley. Dottie was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a kind-hearted soul who made everyone feel welcome. Her warmth, generosity, and easy smile left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Betty Schwab; her children, John Riveley (Joann) of Kentucky, Ron Zinno (Lisa) of Cambridge Springs, Mike Zinno (Carolyn) of Washington State, and Elizabeth Mandalas of Greenville. Her legacy continues through her six cherished grandchildren -Amber, Corey, Susan, Katie, Monica, and Penny, and her beloved dog, Bubba. She also leaves behind a circle of dear friends who brought joy and companionship to her life, including Debbie and Ralph McClimans, Joann Foster, and her treasured Hermitage Golden Corral friends.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James J. Riveley.

Services:

Per Dottie's wishes, Cremation was chosen, and no services will be held. Inurnment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Jamestown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St. Jamestown.
