Doris J. Perschka

Doris J. Perschka, age 85, of Hephzibah, GA and formerly of Sharpsville, passed away Thursday morning, October 15, 2026.

She was born in Greenville on November 18, 1940 to George C. and Daisy (Hunt) Davis. Doris attended Penn High School and Reynolds High School and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1960. Doris’s most recent employment was as a prep cook at Breakfast at Tiffany’s in Sharpsville; she previously had been employed as a caregiver and housekeeper for several doctors in the Shenango Valley as well as for family members and at McGinnis Bros. Plastics in Transfer.

She volunteered with the Salvation Army in Sharon for many years. Doris enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, and watching cooking and crime shows on TV.

On November 26, 1966, Doris married Paul R. Perschka; he passed away September 9, 1999.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy D. (Michael) Lucas of Hephzibah, GA; a sister-in-law, Linda Davis of Greenville; a son-in-law, George Reed of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren: Eric Reed, Bradley Reed, and Amber Lucas; and one great-grandchild, Parker Reed.

In addition to her husband, Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Ann Reed; two sisters, Mary Simpson and Betty Johnston; and seven brothers: Albert, George, Don, Fred, Bill, Joe, and John Davis.

Services:

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, 11/18/26, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville. Family and friends will be received in the Funeral Home on 11/18/26 from 10:00 AM until time of Service. Inurnment will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Salvation Army Sharon Worship & Service Center, 660 Fisher Hill Sharon, PA 16146.
