Donna L. Murray

Donna L. Murray, age 84, of Leech Rd., Sugar Grove Twp., Greenville passed away Sunday evening, August 10, 2025, in her residence.

She was born in Greenville on December 30, 1940 to Paul and Marcella (Henry) Veado and was a 1958 graduate of Penn High School. Donna was employed for various physicians in the Greenville area for over 20 years and retired from the office of Dr. John Steele. She previously had been employed as a waitress at Dominico’s Restaurant in Hermitage for over 10 years, as a secretary at Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad, and sold Stanley Home Products.

Donna supported multiple charitable agencies throughout her life. Later in life, she enjoyed birdwatching and feeding wild animals. Donna had a special love for cardinals, trips to the beach, and traveling.

On December 16, 1960, she married Harry L. Murray, Jr.; he passed away tragically while serving in the U. S. Air Force on December 14, 1968.

Donna is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Dr. Robert) Linn of Dayton, OH and Sandra Murray-Oberle of Greenville; a son, Harry L. “Moose” (Amy) Murray III of Mercer; a sister Eddie Ruhlman of Warren, OH; three brothers: Richard Veado of Westford, Ronald (Cindy) Veado of Greenville, and Dennis (Becky) Veado of Greenville; 10 grandchildren: Ashley (Dr. Gabriel) Smith, Paul Moss III, Tarah (Adam) Carr, Savannah Linn, Gabriel Linn, Dylan Milesend, Rachel (Travis) Metzger, Garrett Oberle, Carlene Murray, and Harrison Murray; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Patsy Gilmore; and her brother, Paul Veado.

Services:

Family and friends will be received from 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, 8/30/25, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville. Inurnment will be in Millbank Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
