Donald L. Liszka, age 69, of Kinsman Rd., W. Salem Twp., Greenville passed away Sunday morning, November 23, 2025, at his residence.
He was born in Greenville on July 3, 1956 to Joseph M. and Janet L. (Hall) Liszka and firmly planted his roots on the family farm in West Salem Township. Don had fond memories and stories of growing up with his seven siblings and many cousins. He was a 1976 graduate of Reynolds High School. Don was employed full-time as a lumber handler at Calvert Lumber Co., Sharon for the past nine years and previously had been employed as a lumber handler and delivery driver at the former Oakes and McClelland Lumber Co., Greenville from 1975 until the business closed in 2016.
He was a meticulous record keeper and had tracked daily weather patterns since 1991. Don was an avid coin collector and history enthusiast with a special interest in President John F. Kennedy. His favorite colors were red, white, and blue, which he prominently displayed. Don loved going on weekend trips with his kids or just for a ride to see where the road went. He greatly enjoyed mowing his lawn - whether it needed it or not.
The greatest pride of Don’s life was his two daughters. He would always tell everyone of their accomplishments, and he was particularly fond of his son-in-law Matt as well. Don will be sorely missed.
He is survived by two daughters, Lynn (Matthew) Liszka-Kalkbrenner of Centerville, PA and Trish Liszka of Oakland, CA; four sisters: Patty (Dave) Gessler of Greenville, Marsha (Fred Murrin) Murphy of Greenville, Janice (Mark) Sarko of Cortland, OH, and Sandy Amico of Ocean City, MD; three brothers: Stan (Pudge) Liszka of Jamestown, Jim (Peg) Liszka of Greenville, and Gerald Liszka of Greenville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
