Donald Allen Chamberlain, age 81, of Pymatuning Twp., Greenville, passed away Wednesday morning, July 1, 2026, in the ER of UPMC Horizon, Greenville.
He was born in Greenville on January 29, 1945 to Albert A, and Esther E. (Artman) Chamberlain. Don was a 1963 graduate of Greenville High School. He retired from Wheatland Tube Corp. where he had been employed as a coil feeder for 30 years. Don had previously been employed at Sawhill Tubular and Greenville Tube Corp.
He was a member of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, Greenville. Family meant everything to Don. He was the rock, the wisdom giver, and the first call for help for many family members and friends. Being with those he loved was always on the top of Don’s priority list. He was the nurturer of his family and there has never been a baby who didn’t love Don. His great-grandchildren will miss the way he showed love through an endless supply of popsicles the most.
Don’s favorite pastime was fishing. He spent many hours on Lake Erie with family members and friends, especially his son, Jeff. Over the years, Don also enjoyed hunting, playing music, and watching his favorite TV shows with his wife. Canning, specifically sauerkraut, is a family tradition that he passed on to his children and grandchildren.
Don will be greatly missed for his gentle guidance, prayers at every holiday meal, hugs that healed, and warm goodbyes in the driveway. To know Don was to know unconditional love.
On April 27, 1962, he married the former Nancy A. Brown; she survives.
In addition to his wife, Don is survived by his children Kristine (Joseph) Altenor, Jeffrey Chamberlain and his companion Lisa, and Karen Chamberlain and her companion Jim; a brother, Tim Chamberlain; a sister, Darlene (Victor) Guess; a brother-in-law, Jim (Vicky) Brown; nine grandchildren: Joshua, Kaylan, Connor, Megan, Tyler, Michael, Dustin, Tori, and Dylan; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Kathy Watt and Kimberly Felton; an infant granddaughter, Ashley Watt; two brothers, William and Wayne Chamberlain; and an infant sister, Connie Chamberlain.
