Dolores Jean “Dee” (Mariacher) Rodgers, 91, of Jamestown, was called to be with our Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Dolores was born in Pardoe, PA, on October 20, 1934, to John and Allie (Heasley) Mariacher Jr. After attending Mercer area schools, she married James (Jim) R. Rodgers of Jamestown, PA, her forever love and husband of 51 years. Jim passed on October 29, 2005. She worked a few jobs, including the cafeteria at Jamestown Area High School, but cherished her time babysitting the most. Her true joy came from caring for her family and friends. She was always cooking and sewing treasures to give away to anyone in need or just because. Camping and spending time around a fire with family and friends became one of her favorite summer pastimes. Later, singing in the choir and enjoying bible study with her State Line Church family became her passion. She was larger than life, whether playing dice with her Lutheran family or dancing and singing at the local fairs; she was a ray of sunshine and brought great joy to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all those who called her Mom, Grandma DeDe, Great Grandma DeDe, Aunt, or Friend.
Left to cherish her memory are a son, John (Jill) Rodgers of Hadley, PA, and a daughter, Connie (Rolland) Low of Harker Heights, TX. Grandchildren, Kami, Madison, Will, Jonny, Kaitlyn, Joe, Cody, Taralyn, Lexi, and four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Rodgers, her siblings, John E. Mariacher, Donald Mariacher, Donna Woods, Mary Ellen Steele, Harvey Mariacher, and a grandson, Nicholas Rodgers.
The family extends special thanks to the staff at QLS, Mercer for their compassionate and loving care throughout Dee’s short stay.
