David A. Humphrey

David A. Humphrey, age 60, of Meadville, and formerly of Hartstown and Greenville, passed away Saturday evening, August 2, 2025, in his residence.

He was born in Greenville on November 28, 1964 to Charles and Penny L. (Ridgeway) Humphrey and was a 1983 graduate of Greenville High School. Dave retired from Hodge Foundry as a crane operator following 25 years of employment.

He previously had been a volunteer firefighter with Fallowfield Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Norrisville Sportsmen’s Club. Dave enjoyed hunting, antiquing, working on cars, and attending car shows.

On October 20, 1990, he married the former Karen L. Glancy; she survives.

In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by two sons, Scott Anthony of Erie and Robert “R. J.” Humphrey (Lisa Henry) of Meadville; his mother, Penny Ridgeway of Erie; a stepsister, Marcie Kehler of West Middlesex; three stepbrothers: Darrin Adams of Greenville, Mark Adams of Sharon, and Steve Frangione of Erie; and a grandchild, Devin Anthony.

He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Holly Frampton; his stepfather, Frank Frangione; and a stepbrother, David Frangione.

Services:

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, 8/9/25, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville with Rev. Dennis See, Pastor of Harrisburg Justice House of Prayer, officiating. Family and friends will be received in the Funeral Home on 8/9/25 from 1:00 PM until time of service. Inurnment will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville. Memorial Contributions may be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
