Darrell K. Kougher

Darrell K. Kougher, age 77, of Gibson Rd., Hempfield Twp. Greenville passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 13, 2025, in Greystone Country Estates.

He was born in Greenville on May 13, 1948 to David G. and Doris M. (Proud) Kougher. Darrell was a 1966 graduate of Greenville High School and completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Education at Edinboro University in 1970. He retired from VF Factory Outlet, Grove City following more than 20 years of employment.

Darrell was a long-time member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. He loved the music of David Crosby and enjoyed attending concerts, the outdoors, traveling out West, and learning about and appreciating Native American culture. He especially loved his Border Collie, “Maggie.” Darrell deeply cared for his friends and others with whom he came into contact.

On August 26, 1972 he married the former Judith D. Cook; she survives.

In addition to his wife, Darrell is survived by two daughters, Kelli (Jeff) Chaffee of Hermitage and Abby Kougher and her fiancé, Erick Wong, of Pittsburgh, and two grandchildren, Sean and Annaliese Chaffee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Kougher.

Services:

Per Darrell’s wishes, Cremation was chosen, and no services will be held.
