Cynthia Ann “Cindi” Gibson, age 74, of Greenville, passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, surrounded by family on Sunday afternoon, May 24, 2026, in UPMC Hamot due to complications from an aortic aneurysm rupture.

She was born in Columbia, TN on April 10, 1952, to Clarence and Norma Faye (Watt) Grimes. Cindi grew up in Tennessee but left the area after Hay Long High School in Mt. Pleasant. She held several jobs in the northwest and Canada and then worked as an administrative assistant in the music industry in Las Angeles. Later, Cindi worked as an executive secretary in Trainer, PA and as a paralegal at a law firm in Philadelphia.

On September 15, 1989, Cindi married John Gibson; he survives. She accompanied her husband overseas for his work. With limited working opportunities, Cindi thoroughly enjoyed living in Germany and the United Kingdom with time to explore. She had many hobbies including jewelry making, knitting, sewing, needle work, spinning, audio books, British monarchy history, and computer games, among others.

In addition to her husband, Cindi is survived by a son, Zachary Conaway of Greenville; two stepchildren, Ben (Kim) Gibson of Delaware and Kelly (Dave) Ruckno of South Carolina; three sisters: Linda Cagle, Denise Parra, and Debbie (Rigo) Jauregui; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sharon Rose; and her brother-in-law, Ramon Parra.

Services:

Private Family Services will be held in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville with Rev. Brenda Martin, Pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenville, officiating. Burial will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Strayhaven Animal Shelter, 94 Donation Rd. Greenville, PA 16125.
