Colin C. Burns, age 65, of W. Salem Twp., Greenville passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in UPMC Shenango Valley.
He was born in Irvine, Scotland on January 17, 1960 to Scott James and Evelyn (McCulloch) Burns. After graduating from high school, Colin served in the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom. He retired from TSA at the Pittsburgh Airport where he had been employed as a security agent for many years. Colin had previously been employed as a corrections officer for 10 years at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
He was a longtime member of the Robert Burns Scottish Society. Colin was an avid golfer and was a member of The Avalon at Buhl Country Club. He enjoyed swimming, riding his motorcycle, and treated his three Rottweilers as his children.
On September 4, 2010, he married the former Michelle Vermillion; she passed away May 26, 2022.
Colin is survived by his best friends: Jen Howell and her two daughters, JoJo and Jada, all of Wheatland; Connie Sorg and her partner Scott Moffett of Greenville; and Rosie and Mike Wasser of Transfer; a sister, Fiona Burns; and a brother, Brian Burns.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Services:
Per Colin’s wishes, Cremation was chosen, and there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville.
