Carol A. “Cookie” Denne-Toplansky, age 80, of S. Shenango Twp., Jamestown passed away Thursday evening, September 4, 2025, in her residence.
She was born in Pittsburgh on January 29, 1945 to Thomas and Margaret “Peggy” (Lutz) Carmichael. Cookie was a graduate of Baldwin High School, had been a homemaker, and had been employed at the Jamestown Soap Works.
She attended Crossroads Christian Fellowship, Greenville and was the past-president of the South Shenango Flower Club. Cookie enjoyed traveling and working in her yard.
On June 6, 1964, she married Kenneth C. Denne; he passed away June 30, 2006. Then, on October 3, 2015, she married Andrew Toplansky; he survives.
In addition to her husband, Cookie is survived by two sons, Douglas (Tricia) Denne and Greg (Debra) Denne, all of Pittsburgh; three stepdaughters: Diane (Jim) Fultz of Jefferson, OH, Catherine Toplansky of Ashburn, VA, and Lisa (Daren) Presbiter of Ashburn, VA; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wed., 9/10/25, at 2:00 PM in Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St. Jamestown. Family and friends will be received on Wed., 9/10/25, from 1:00 PM until time of service. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
