Bruce W. Emrich, age 75, of Plum St., Greenville passed away Wednesday evening, October 29, 2025, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville.
He was born in Ellwood City, PA on May 5, 1950 to Oscar W. and Virginia M. (Reeher) Emrich. Bruce was a 1968 graduate of Shadyside Academy and earned his B. S. in Psychology at Gettysburg College. He retired as a truck driver from Andersen Corp. and previously had been employed as an insurance agent in Pittsburgh and Greenville and also owned and operated an AMCO Transmission location in Sharon.
Bruce was a member of Bethel Life Worship Center, Greenville where he previously was involved with the worship team. He was an avid golfer and recorded two holes-in-one and was Club Champion at Shannopin Country Club. He was a dog-lover and an accomplished musician and was a member of the Mercer Community Band for over 20 years. Bruce loved Sunday family dinners and was known for his dry sense of humor and “dad jokes.”
On August 16, 1974, he married the former Judith A. Troutman; she survives.
In addition to his wife, Bruce is survived by two sons, William B. “Brad” (Sherri) Emrich and Jonathan W. (Abigail) Emrich, both of Greenville; a stepdaughter, Natalie R. (Robert) Donovan of Pittsburgh; a stepson, Douglas E. (Dawn) Keyes of Greenville; a brother, Dr. Robert (Carol) Emrich of Saginaw, MI; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson; and a brother, Rev. William Oscar Emrich.
Services:
Cremation was chosen, and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bethel Life Worship Center with date and time to be announced. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bethel Life Worship Center Youth Program 246 S. Mercer St. Greenville, PA 16125.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville.
